5 Things to Stop Doing Right Now to Get Clear Skin

June 6, 2017It’s no secret that stressful times like midterms and finals reek havoc on the skin. But did you know there are some things you can do to help prevent these breakouts? Here are some tips for clearer skin during stressful tests:
1. Pay attention to leaning on your hands while studying. We have all done it at some point and it’s easy to lean on your hands as your spending hours upon hours reading up on that upcoming chemistry exam. Try putting a loose bangle or watch on your wrist, so when you put your hand up to lean on it, the bangle falls alerting you of this nasty little habit.
2. Instead of reaching for that late night bag of chips or cup of ramen, reach for some apple slices and fresh ground almond butter instead. The protein from this snack is much more filling and the apple has caffeine that will give you that extra boost of energy.
3. Up late studying? A lack of sleep can lead to skipping a face wash in the evening or morning. This is the quickest way to a breakout. The extra stress caused by midterms and finals produces more oils in the pores, so taking care of your skin care regimen morning and night is more important than ever, plus it’s refreshing and can revitalize you. Make sure to use a regimen that is truly pore-clogger free (Not sure if yours is? We can help you determine if your regimen is really acne safe or not)
