Including a determination of acne type and a customized plan created specifically for your skin care needs in order to *swiftly clear acne. The initial acne facial includes an enzyme mask with steam, to prepare skin for proper deep pore cleansing and extractions. Next, a dermatological grade chemical peel is applied to help ensure significant cell turnover to effectively encourage healthy cell production and acne free skin.

Our in-office acne treatments are completely individualized, but all include exfoliation and extraction. The type of exfoliation we do is dependent on your skin’s needs and tolerances. Extractions vary according to how many you need and your tolerance. All acne treatments provide the following:

  • Appropriate exfoliation for your skin type, type of acne and your physical condition. Proper exfoliation allows the products to penetrate the skin and into the pores much more effectively.
  • Hydration of the skin which is necessary for more rapid healing of the lesions and to make your skin more receptive to your home-care acne regimen. The acne products have a tendency to dry out the skin as you are getting used to them.
  • Expert extractions to remove the acne impaction that are closer to the surface, allowing the lesions to heal more *quickly.
  • Treatment to combat the bacteria inside the pore.
  • Lifting and lightening of any dark spots that may be a result of your acne lesions.

Acne Back Treatment

This highly effective acne treatment focuses on the back and shoulders helping to reduce the possibility of acne returning, including clogged pores and blackheads. Experience the same deep pore cleansing, exfoliation and customized treatment offered in all of our acne treatments.

All acne skin care treatments have a specific focus on what your skin needs at the time of your visit. Sometimes the skin will need more hydration, other times it will need more anti-bacterial and/or anti-inflammatory action. Our Acne Specialists will analyze your skin at the beginning of every visit to assess which treatment would serve you best, and determine what changes need to be made to your custom home care routine. Acne treatments are performed every two weeks until your skin clears. It is important that we see you every two weeks to assess your progress and how your skin is responding to treatment. At that point, we will almost always adjust your home care as your skin adapts to your current routine in about two weeks. Usually, clearing takes anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. It typically takes about six acne treatments over a three-months to get you mostly to completely clear; *significant results can be seen within six weeks. After your acne is under control, you will need to maintain your acne skin care home regimen to keep your acne managed. Many of our cleared clients come in for a tune up acne treatment every few months just to keep their skin as healthy as possible. 

Expect to follow a twice-a-day home care routine to help prevent future acne and keep your pores very clear. By having an acne treatment every 2-3 weeks during the clearing process, we can extract acne lesions as they surface. *This will help your skin clear MUCH faster.

To kickstart this Pore Cleaning Session, you will experience a thorough cleansing with steam to help loosen and soften oil, and dead skin cells in the pores, with the help of a customized enzyme treatment. Next, expert and precise extractions are performed to help remove clogged pores and active blemishes. Lastly, a gentle, rejuvenating treatment is applied to kill bacteria and slough off dull skin, leaving it glowing and fresh.
